Elizabeth Miles

Elizabeth Deloach Miles was born on February 10, 1948 to the late Alice Grant. She attended Saint Mary and Saint Pius X Catholic Schools. She was married to the late Charles Raymond Miles, Sr. for 31 years. To this union four children were born. She was employed by Memorial Hospital, (Memorial Medical Center) for 25 years. She was a trained certified specialty care worker. Assignments included the Habersham House Alzheimer Unit. She was also certified in childcare.

After retirement, Liz, as she was affectionately called, moved to personal care. She met the Myrtle, Flake Family as a caregiver; and a friendship and special bond formed. She loved the whole family and carried all of them in her heart.

Liz joined the Royal Church of Christ under the auspices of Elder Jerome Black, Jr. After his demise, she was shepherded by Bishop Dr. Willie Ferrell. Liz wore many hats at the Royal Church of Christ. She served as a Sunday Teacher, Choir Directress, Worship and Praise Leader, Executive Board member and Treasurer of the Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Alice Grant; Son, Mr. Paul Miles; Grandson, Mr. Rashemel Miles; and Sister, Mrs. Sheila Johnson.

This beautiful Jewel leaves to cherish her memory 3 children: Mr. Charles Raymond (Miriam) Miles, Jr., Mr Renard E. Miles, Ms. Regina Miles Mincey of Savannah, GA; 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister, Ms. Linda Douglas of Statesboro, GA, 5 Brothers; Mr. Alfred Grant, Sr., Mr Shawn (Betty Jean) Grant, Mr. Freddie (Nikki) Grant, Jr., Mr. Winford (Sondra) Grant of Statesboro, GA, Mr. Pasquel (Keisha) Grant of Texas; 1 Aunt, Ms. Carrie Howard of Statesboro, GA; a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends, and the Royal Church of Christ Family.

Her love and passion was singing. Sing on Liz.....Sing with the Angels!!!

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. The service can be live streamed by clicking the following link at the time of the service. Burial will take place at Magnolia Memorial Gardens, Silk Hope Road.
