Elizabeth Louette Smith Stevens, age 87, of Garden City died Wednesday, January 14th, 2015 at Oceanside Nursing Home.
A native of Savannah, she was the daughter of Henry Alexander Smith and Leona Lightsey Smith.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Major James Stevens, and two brothers, Henry Rudolph Smith and Joseph Smith, she is survived by a sister, Marie Hensley of Ridgeway, Virginia; five children, Jay K. Abel (Margariette) of Elkton, Florida, Karen D. Gibson of Fayetteville, Tennessee, James Burns of Hepzibah, Georgia, Johnny Herald (Rose) of Tybee Island, and Jeff Herald (Marie) of Stone Mountain; nine grandchildren & twenty-one great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 17th from 10: AM to 12:00 PM at Bonaventure Funeral Home with Funeral Services to follow at 12:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
