Elizabeth Best Lane

Elizabeth Kay Best Lane (Beth), was born in Savannah, Ga on Jan 25, 1969 to Paul Dennis Best and Karen Padgett Best.
She lost her courageous battle with cancer July 7, 2016, under the amazing care of Hospice Savannah. She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Best, and her maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Elizabeth Padgett.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, James C. Lane, son, Brody C. Lane, mother, Karen Padgett Best; brother, Dennis "Bo" Best; grandmother, Vera Perkins; uncles, David Padgett (Joan), and Jimmy Padgett; brother in law, Michael Lane (Ronda); several cousins and many friends.
Elizabeth's faith in God was strong. She worshiped regularly at Savannah Christian Church - Eastside Campus. Elizabeth kept the nursery for 20 years, even when she didn't have the strength, she would come sit and be present.
Elizabeth was a caring and compassionate person. She was a graduate of Calvary Baptist Day School, Class of 1987, and went on to study at Georgia Southern University, where in 1991 she received her BA Degree in Graphic Art and Design.
Elizabeth spent 20 years as a pharmaceutical representative, and earned many awards and accolades, but the one she spoke the most of was her son, Brody. Elizabeth had a passion for baking, and pursed her dream by opening "Small Cakes" a cupcakery in Savannah.
Elizabeth was also an avid runner and thoroughly enjoyed watching Brody get into the sport and run with his mother.
Visitation: 5 - 9 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Savannah Christian Church, Eastside Chapel on Whitfield Ave.
