Edwin Andrew Stokes, age 70, of Garden City, GA passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at home.

Mr. Stokes was born on March 12, 1949 in Savannah, GA, the son of the late Horace Obie Stokes and Ruth V. Stokes. He was a graduate of Groves High School and in 1972 began Stokes Construction. He was a longtime member of Trinity Church of God and was currently a member of Bloomingdale Fellowship. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Stokes was preceded in death by his daughters, Jennifer Stokes and Kimberley Stokes Boone as well as his sister, Janice Callison. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Frances Stokes; daughter, Audrey Warren (Joe); sons, Andy Stokes (Lorie) and Corey Stokes (Katie); sister, Debbie Stokes; grandchildren, Mitchell, John (Stephanie), Butch (Taylor), Shelby, Jennifer (Austin), Robert, CJ, and Edwin; and 4 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel, 2794 Highway 80 West, Garden City, GA 31408. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Elkins Cemetery on Highway 204.
