Edwena Irene Garrett, age 89, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
Edwena was born on April 11, 1935, in Savannah, Georgia and was a lifelong member of Saint James Catholic Church.
Edwena was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom and unconditional love. She will always be remembered for her compassion, generosity, forgiving spirit and unbelievable strength.
You could always find mom reading in her recliner or working in her yard.
Edwena is preceded in death by her husband Paul; her son, Randy Garrett; her parents, Herbert and Irene Ard; and her sister, Christine Noha
She is survived by her daughters Rhonda Kinney (Alan), Jennifer Bodaford; her grandchildren, Garrett Bodaford (Jennifer), Lexie VonWaldner (Tyler), Rachel Kinney (Brighten Donner); and a great grandson Bradley VonWaldner as well as several nieces and nephews.
