Edna Rahn Moss, 95, of Savannah, passed away peacefully at her residence, Thursday, Jan 12, 2017, under the care of Hospice.
She was the daughter of the late Jacob Irwin Rahn, Sr., and Missouri Anna Rahn. She graduated from Commercial High School, and worked as a Bookeeper for many years.
Edna was a 60 plus year member o the Order of the Eastern Star, Palestine Chapter # 249.
Edna was a long time member of Silk Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed cake decorating, sewing and cross stiching in addition to traveling.
Edna was preceded in death by four brothers, Alvin Rahn, Jacob Rahn,Jr., David C. Rahn and Willard Arte Rahn, and one sister, Ethel Norton.
Edna is survived by her husband, Horace F. Moss, one daughter, Georgia Googe (Benny), two grandchildren, Stacy Jacoby (Vince), and Michael Crosby and 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 2- 5 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Garden City Chapel of Baker McCullough Funeral Home.
Order of the Eastern Star Service at 5 p.m., conducted by Palestine Chapter # 249, OES.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Silk Hope Baptist Church, with Dr. Michael "Dusty" Reynolds officiating.
Mrs. Moss will be taken to the church at 9:30 a.m. Monday to lie in state.
Interment will follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery.
The family would like to express their gratitude to her caregiver, Rhonda, for all her unselfish time and devotion.
