Dr. Angela Hobbs Tatom, 70, of Port Wentworth died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Dr. Tatom received her Doctorate in Religious Education from Covington Theological Seminary. She taught English and Latin many years before retiring. Dr. Tatom taught at Pathway Day School, Pineland Christian Academy, and Providence Christian Academy; she also had worked many years for the Chatham County Public Library.
A member of GraceTruth Church in Claxton, GA, she enjoyed traveling and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harry Tatom.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Lisa Padgett, Jason and Kandi Padgett; 5 grandchildren, Stephen, Byron, Daniel, AJ and Amber; her cousin, Christine Shores.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Funeral Home.
Graveside Service: 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
