On Thursday August 15, 2019 , at the age of 77, Dot W. Waldhauer passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of Savannah.
She was born in Horry County, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Leona Wilson. Dot attended Savannah High School and loved going to the movies and dancing. Later in life Dot enjoyed raising her family, attending events at the Elks Lodge, and taking cruises and Las Vegas trips with her late husband. She played a very important role in raising her grandchildren by caring for Miranda, Mariah, Kaylie, Andrew, Sarah and Caroline all at the same time. She was an active member in her church, Connexion Church (previously Cokesbury United Methodist Church). Dot dearly loved the Lord and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Wilson and Leona Waddell; husband, Bick Waldhauer; and step-daughter, Eve Waldhauer.
Survivors include her sister Bonnie Young, her son, Jimmy Freeman (Dee), daughter, Debbie Adams (Steve), son, Terry Freeman (Melanie), son, Randy Freeman (Shelly), step-daughter, Amy Waldhauer, step-son, Ben Waldhauer (Charlene) and step-daughter Kate Waldhauer.
Dot is also survived by her loving grandkids Miranda (Matt), Mariah (Austin), Kaylie (Brady), Andrew, Sarah, Caroline, Tina (Ashley), Daniel (Katie), Charlie, Emma and Grace; and by her great-grandkids Reid, Ashton, Jordan, Tristan, AJ.
Visitation: 5pm to 7pm Saturday August 17, 2019 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Service: 11am Sunday August 18, 2019 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
