Dorothy Register Holland, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. She was of Catholic faith and a devoted and loving wife, sister, mother, and very proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
Dottie was born on July 7, 1925 in Savannah to Joseph Anthony and Christine (Clark) Register. Dorothy is predeceased by her parents, her loving husband William Edward Holland, her brother Joseph Anthony, Jr., sister Carmel R. Groover, son-in-law George Rody and granddaughter Cynthia R. Fann.
Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Dorothy H. Rody, William Edward, Jr. and Patricia H. Arpaio (Mike). Loving sisters, Mary R. George, Patricia R. McCarthy and brother-in-law Nicholas F. George. Adoring grandchildren, Kymberly, Andrea, Michael, Brian, Kinsey and Blake. Great-grandchildren Christopher, Mary Elizabeth, Caroline, David, and many nieces and nephews.
Dottie believed in and lived "in this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love." - Mother Teresa
There will be a private family graveside service, Father Joseph Smith officiating.

The Family of Dorothy would like to give our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Johnson, the medical staff, all employees and volunteers who gave excellent, loving care to our dear mother during her stay at Hospice.
