On the morning of December 27, 2019, Dorothy Myers of Garden City, went to be with the Lord at the age of 76.
Dorothy was born to Dessie and Eloise Munn on November 11, 1943. She attended Groves High School and retired from White Way Laundry in Port Wentworth, Georgia On March 5, 1963 she married Jimmy Myers and together raised four children, Allen Myers, Gloria Myers, Danny Myers and Kenny Myers.
Dorothy loves to crab and fish. She also loved working out in the garden growing many different vegetables and flowers. But, if you ask anyone, being with her family was her most beloved hobby.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dessie and Eloise, her siblings Charles Munn, Wynonna Mceleveen, and Quida Padgett, and her husband Jimmy.
She is survived by her sister Gwen Myers, her children Gloria, Kenny, Danny, Allen and their spouses Earl Gatch and Mary Myers, as well as several cousins, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A public memorial service will take place Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 10:30 at Baker McCullough funeral home in Garden City, Georgia. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 and she will be laid to rest at Lanes Church in Brooklet, Georgia.
