Doris R. Brunson, age 83, died Monday, January 18, 2010 at Candler Hospital.
Doris was born on July 14, 1926 in Sumter, South Carolina to the Late Charlton Leroy and Hallie Ethal Hodge Richburg. She was a homemaker and member of South West Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Merkle Brunson, Sr., and two sons, Ernest Merkle Brunson, Jr., Steven L. Brunson and a Daughter-In-Law, Jo Ann Brunson.
She is survived by her children, David A. Brunson (Dianne) of Richmond Hill, Phyllis B. Marcantonio (John) , Robert Wayne Brunson, and a Daughter-In-Law, Francis Brunson all of Savannah and Grandchildren, Stephanie Carter (Michael), April Raices (Carlos), Dena Wilkinson and Kacie Wilkinson and Great Grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 Brothers, and 3 Sisters all of South Carolina.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Bonaventure Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until service time at Bonaventure Funeral Home. Please visit www.BonaventureFH.com .
