Doris G. Lanier

Doris Glisson Lanier, 82, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on May 3, 2019.
Doris was born in Savannah, Georgia on December 31, 1936 to Howard and Gussie (Weir) Glisson. She was raised in downtown Savannah and graduated from Savannah High School in 1954. She worked as an assistant credit manager and cake baker. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and always had a kind word for everyone she met. Her passing is a tremendous loss, but we take comfort in knowing she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband Ray Lanier of Savannah; her son, Toney Liakakis (wife, Michelle) of Savannah; her daughter, Tonja Linton (husband, Rob) of Savannah; six grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her brother, William "Billy" Glisson (wife, Lynda); and loving extended family and friends.
Funeral services for will be held Tuesday, May 7th at 12 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home located at 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406. Visitation is an hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah.
