Doris Riner Clifton, 79, of Savannah, GA, passed away January 30, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born in Metter, GA on February 12,1941 to the late Nannie Ruth (Armour) and Roy Dean Riner.
Doris met and married Alvin Raymond Wright, January 25, 1958 and together they raised three children. After Alvin’s passing, she married Charles Clifton.
She was a registered nurse and was employed in the Labor and Delivery department of Memorial Medical Center for many years. She was passionate about caring for people and most especially the babies in her care.
Doris was a member at Solid Rock Christian Fellowship, where she enjoyed attending church services. She also enjoyed Sunday drives, reading the horoscopes and obituaries in the newspaper, playing piano, traveling and loved her dog.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Alvin Raymond Wright and Charles Clifton; brother, Horace Riner; sister, Daisy Harrison; and great grandchildren, JR, Mary, and Colby.
Surviving are sons, Mark Wright (Mary) and Kevin Wright (Teresa); a daughter, Angela Beaty (Christopher); grandchildren, Candice, Tony, Amanda, Shawn, Fallyn, Allyn Mae, Dorsie, Christian, William II, Alexander, and Lillie; great grandchildren, Madison, Meadow, Ruby, Kayla, Hailey, Searena, William III, Joseph, Mason, and James; a great great grandson, Solomon; and her dog, Elvis.
A graveside service will be held Thursday February 4, 2021 at Noon at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
