Donna Lee Knight, age 68, of Savannah, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024. She was born in La Follette, Campbell County Tennessee on Friday, October 14th, 1955.
Donna is survived by her three loving children, Amber Merritt (Kris), Amanda Davis (William), and April Dilas (Curtis); her cherished grandchildren, Skiler Morgan (Devon), Chad Jr. Mock, Zackery Mock, Dylan Mock, William Jr. Davis, Jordan Scarpitti, Breanna Boyles, and Caleb Boyles; her adored great grandchildren, Lincoln, Valerie, Atreus, Archor, and Wyatt; her beloved sister, Dessie Bishop; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 49 years, Wilbur "Danny" Knight; her parents, Otis Lee Hopper and Jimmy Louise Moore; her brother, Daniel Hopper; and her in-laws, Fred and Dorothy Knight.
Donna attended Tomkins High School. She met the love of her life through a friend on a blind date. Shortly after, she married Mr. Wilbur "Danny" Knight on July 27, 1974 and started a family together. Donna was a retired bus driver for the United States Army and earned her bachelors degree in Psychology in 2014 from Argosy University. She was known for her spiciness, feistiness, and bluntness. Donna was lovingly referred to as "Nana" and "Short Stop" by those who knew her. She had a generous heart and always put others before herself. Donna enjoyed music, beading, puzzles, computer games, coloring, and crocheting.
Visitation will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel in Garden City, Georgia on Thursday, July 11th, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
