Donna Carol Canady Garcia passed suddenly with her loving husband, David, and son, Noah, by her side on November 23, 2023.
Donna is survived by her husband David Garcia; her sons, Moses and Noah Garcia; daughter in law, Amanda; her three grandchildren, Jasmine, Noah, and Emily; her mother, Ethel Smith Stapleton; stepfather, Norman Stapleton; her sisters, Cathay (Eddie), Debbie (David), Brenda (Grover); seven brother in-laws; six sister in-laws through marriage; and numerous nieces and nephews on both sides.
She is preceded in death by her father, Albert George Canady.
Donna was born on September 4, 1961, in Savannah, Georgia to Ethel and Albert Candy. She graduated beauty college and had a lifelong career in cosmetology specializing in color/color correction. Donna married the love of her life David Garcia on April 8 1990, in Tucumcari, NM where they moved with their family from Georgia in 2003.
Donna loved working with people. She enjoyed fashion, collecting antiques, and had a passion for gardening. Donna is and will always be missed by all who knew and loved her! My Donna. The love of my life! She was beautiful with a heart of gold! She was the most loving, non-judgmental person that I have ever known. She loved everyone. I will miss her with my whole heart forever. Donna, you will forever be “My girl”! I will always love you and cherish the memories we made together! You taught me how to love, forgive, and so many of life’s lessons. I am lost without you and until I see you again, I will be loving you still! Love David.
The family will be receiving friends 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to celebrate the life of Donna Carol Canady Garcia, Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406.
