Donald Lamar Redding, Sr., 76, of Bloomingdale passed away Thursday, June 15th, 2017 at his home under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.
A native of Miami, Florida and live all of his life in Bloomingdale, he was the son of late Reynolds Alexander Redding and Gladys Wilkes Redding. Don was a veteran of the US Air Force.
He was an over the road Truck Drive for over 52 years. Don attended Baptist Lighthouse Baptist Church and enjoyed working in his yard and Loved driving his truck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James Carey Redding, Walter J. Redding, his sister, Sharon Redding Hendrix Clarke.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Lucy B. Redding; children, Donald L. Redding, Jr., Sheila Shearouse, Rhonda Martin, Mallory Redding, Tiffany Perry, John Futch Jr., Mark D. Futch; 19 grandchildren including his little darling, Jamie Marie Futch; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Ann Compton and Darlene Raulerson; brother, Curtis Ray Redding, two beloved sister in laws, Ann Redding, Linda Crohn; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, June 18th, 2017 at 3:00 pm in Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Dasher and Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating.
Burial will be private.
