Donald Lester Jenkins "Bad to the Bone", 64, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
A native of Savannah Georgia, he was the son of the late Pratt Lester Jenkins, Jr. and Evelyn June Lewis Jenkins.
Donald was a Baptist and had worked for Barnes Amoco Gas Station and was an Electricians helper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Ira Ray Gilmore, Phillip Wayne Gilmore and Richard L. Jenkins.
Survivors include his sisters, Evelyn Faye Pevey and her husband Sam, Georgia Elizabeth Simmons and her husband Marshall and Deborah Jenkins Kieffer; his special nieces, Jennifer Grooms, Nicole Kieffer, Laura Jenkins, Brooke Jenkins, and Deborah Simmons; other family and many friends.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Chuck Coleman, Chris Simmons, Brian Jenkins, Daniel Gilmore, Lance Grooms, Timmy Simmons and Russell Coleman.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel; Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery with Rev. Travis Cowart, Sr. officiating.
