Mr. Donald Blake departed the Earth to begin his heavenly journey home on October 21, 2020. We loved our beloved father, but God loved him more. We will truly miss you and that beautiful smile.
Donald was born October 31, 1953 to the proud parents of Ms. Bessie Mae Singleton and Mr. James Blake Jr. Donald aka “Hogg Head” loved to be the funny guy and loved to put a smile on everyone’s faces and he did just that. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Donald had such a big and beautiful heart and was very family oriented. He leaves his memories to be cherished and mourned by eight children; Jaudon (Vickie) Best, Laterries (Kenny) Blake, Delmonte (Marquilla) Blake, Marvin Best, Gabray (Mona) Best, Torrence (Vonna) Best, Lashanda Best (Deceased), and Jennifer Best. Donald leaves behind a host of grandchildren thirteen grandboys and thirteen granddaughters. Also two great grandboys and four great granddaughters. Siblings left behind are two brothers and two sisters, all of Savannah, GA. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
