Dickie H. Vinson

Dickie H. Vinson, age 75, of Savannah passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

Mr. Vinson was born on December 3, 1946 in Thomasville, GA, the son of the late James W. and Elsie H. Vinson. He was a 1965 graduate of Savannah High School and after graduating began his career with Hercules, Inc., retiring after 42 years of service as a Supervisor. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Temple. He enjoyed flowers, helping his wife tend to their roses at their home, and their annual trip to the Smoky Mountains.

Mr. Vinson was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Glenda B. Vinson and his brother, Jimmy L. Vinson. He is survived by his daughter, Cathy V. Bunch; his beloved dog, Todd; sister, Dixie V. Hilderbrand (Herbert); brother, Gary T. Vinson, Sr. (Karen); and extended family, Barbara Waters Pochet, John Hilderbrand (Tracy), Gary T. Vinson, Jr. (Crystal), Cliff Hilderbrand, Dewey Bashlor (Lisa); Michael Bashlor (Lindsey), Logan Bashlor, Bonnie Bashlor, Maria Bashlor, Thomas Bashlor and Sally Bashlor.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel, 2794 West US Highway 80 Garden City, GA 31408.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Temple – Wilder Chapel, 4625 Waters Avenue, Savannah, GA 31404. Burial will follow the funeral service at Hillcrest Abbey West on Dean Forest Road.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Calvary Baptist Temple.
