Dessie T. Hostilo, 87, of Lexington, SC passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at her home in Lexington, SC.
A native of Swainsboro, GA, she was the daughter of Guyton Thompson and Callie Wilkes Thompson.
Dessie met and married the love of her life, James R. Hostilo, Sr., June 2, 1956. Together, the two raised three children in a loving home.
She worked for many years as a Bridal Consultant with Belk's Department store.
In her spare time, Mrs. Hostilo enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and watching classic movies and television shows. She also enjoyed reading and solving word puzzles, before her illness took her ability to do so.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Hostilo, Sr.; siblings; Helen Paris, Clyde Canady, Guyton Thompson, Jr., Sara Ellen Durden, Hubert Thompson, Marveline Younker, Sara Love, Evelyn Beckham and Bill Thompson.
Survivors include daughter, Pamela S. Hostilo; sons, James R. Hostilo, Jr. and Jeffrey A. Hostilo; and granddaughter, Ashlyn M. Hostilo.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 10, from 3-5pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 11, at Noon in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West.
