Deno "Gus" Palamiotis, 87, passed away Wednesday November 22, 2017 at his home in Savannah GA surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his daughters Helen (Michael), Nikki, and Stephanie Richardson, and grandson Nick Richardson. He is preceded in death by parents, Athanasios and Mary, his beloved wife, Maria of 49 years, sonAthanasios, and brother Nicholas.He is survived by his brother Alex,along with numerous nieces and nephews of both Greece and America.

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised in Lamia, Greece. As a small child during WWII he was a messenger behind enemy lines against the Germans. He worked the oil fields in the Midwest as well as worked the dry cleaning business with his father. Deno was a free unrelenting spirit who loved his family but did it his way. He was a mainstay of the St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church of Savannah,Ga where he was a dedicated member of several organizations including Order of AHEPA and chairperson of Greek Festival Food Committees. Deno was a jack of trades and master of many- businessman, electrician, superintendent and Master Lamb Chef. Most of all though he was beloved by many and will be sorely missed.

Services: Visitation hours are Sunday, 5:30 pm to 7 pm with Trisagion service immediately after. Funeral Services are Monday 11:00 am. All services will be held at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. John officiating. Burial at Greenwich cemetery.

Donations to St. Paul' s Greek Orthodox Church of Savannah, GA or to Compassionate Care Hospice of Pooler, GA in lieu of flowers.
