Delphine Marie Swan gained her wings on June 20, 2020 when she passed away peacefully at St Joseph's Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA at the age of 60. Delphine, more affectionately known by a number of nicknames from those whom she has impacted was born April 17, 1960 in Detroit MI. Delphine had a style and powerful-grace all her own, this unique style could not go unnoticed. When she walked in the room she commanded it. Delphine grew up in the church and enjoyed a close spiritual relationship throughout her entire life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ along with his father whom delivered her into his grace. Delphine attended and graduated from Chadsey high school in Detroit, MI in 1978. She later went on to enjoy a long and successful career in sales for a number of companies until she retired in 2007 due to illness.
Delphine eventually moved to Savannah, GA in 2016 in order to be a support to her daughter's and help raise her grandchildren. In her later years, she enjoyed watching movies and TV shows with her family, talking politics and cooking for those that she loved. By far her greatest joy was raising her children and grandchildren. She also very much enjoyed planning family trips and intimate holidays. She would lovingly plan every aspect of the gatherings, with no detail left untouched. We all are better as a result of her passion and love of keeping her family together even when it was difficult. Delphine kept us all whole, we would do well to follow her lead and emulate her commitment and sacrifices for her family.
Although she is no longer with us physically, her strong spirit will be with her family and friends forever. Delphine is succeeded in her home going by her Mother Lucille Conner and Father Henry Conner. Surviving Delphine are her 5 loving children Angela Cooley, her fiance Brian Agan, David Barry, his spouse Jamaica Barry, Dana Barry, her spouse Eddie Walker, Kaitlin Miller, her spouse Jemell Miller along with Christopher Barry and his spouse Alexis Barry. Delphine is also survived by her ex-husband of 20 years Myron Barry, Brothers Christopher Conner and Daryl Conner together with her Sister Denise Fields. Additionally she is survived by her 17 grandchildren that she loved dearly individually. Moreover she is survived by a number of cousins, aunt's, uncles and friends. We all miss you dearly, but we are overjoyed that you are home. We love you!
