Debra (Morris) Chaffin, age 66, passed away after a long illness on June 20, 2022, in Port Orange, Fl.
Debra was born in Savannah, Ga and was raised in Miami. She spent a brief time at Windsor Forest High before returning to Miami, relocated to Gainesville, Fl, subsequently earning her high school diploma. She relocated back to Savannah, Ga, where she worked for Kemira Chemical Company and finally settled in Port Orange, Fl to be closer to her family. Debra worked for the Post Office and was able to retire from there. Debra really loved helping people (strangers as well as friends or family). She was full of love, life, and energy. She will be missed dearly.
Debra follows her mother, Joan Towns Morris, to heaven. She is survived by her dad, Charles Morris, Sr; two brothers, Charlie and Dana Morris; and one beautiful sister, Tami Morris Rohland. Additionally, she is survived by her husband, Charles Bobby Chaffin, from Brooklet, Ga; two daughters, Danielle Birge and Nicole Stowell; 5 grandchildren, Robbee, Ryan, and Josh Birge, Breanna Stowell, Jake McEwen and many, many more wonderful relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel. The family will be receiving friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
