David Queen, age 54, of Springfield, GA passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
Mr. Queen was born on April 10, 1968 in Savannah, GA. He attended Windsor Forest High School and continued his technical training at Savannah Tech where he earned a certification in welding. He practiced as a fabricator and welder for over 25 years. He attended First Baptist Church of Springfield. David was a longtime member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, was a Civil War reenactor, and was an avid hunter.
Mr. Queen is survived by his wife of 11 years, Tracy Queen; daughter and stepdaughters, Mary Welch (Joseph), Kristy Hunsucker (Jeff), Kimberly Cook (Terry), Erica Lasseter (Jon), and Taylor Shuman (Kevin); mother, Linda Clay; father, William “Bill” Queen; sister, Terri Rahal (Anthony); 13 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, August 19, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
