David "Gene" Harrell

David "Gene" Harrell, 59, of Savannah, died Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at his home.
He was born on July 10, 1957 in Savannah to the late Jimmy and Laverne Harrell.
Gene worked for the Georgia Army National Guard, serving in Desert Storm.
He loved fishing, hunting and anything to do with nature, but most importantly, he loved his family and left an impression on everyone he met.
Survivors include Alicia Harrell, his wife of 25 years; his son, Travis Harrell and his wife Erika; two daughters, Heather Gill and her husband Tommy and Stacy Martin; grandchildren, Joseph and Morgan Harrell; James, Justin and Abby Martin, Dillon Gill and Alyssa Gill; two sisters, Marlaine Boyette and Cathy Hodges and her husband, Gary; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah.
