David Franklin Eller

February 4, 1938 — November 26, 2021

David F. Eller, 83, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Friday, November 26th. He was born in Chilhowie, Virginia to David Andrew and Nannie Ethel Eller.

David loved his country, and served honorably in the United States Air Force. He served his community as well, first as a patrolman with the Savannah Police Department (SPD) and later as a Detective. He relocated to Caldwell, Georgia where he served as a Forensic Agent with the National Insurance Crime Bureau until is retirement.

David’s greatest love, and that of which he was most proud, was his family. David was a devoted husband to Helen, father to David (Lara), and Pepa to Pearis Abigail. Our hearts are broken. We will miss him forever.

David is also survived by his brother, Jimmy (Lois) and sister Peggy, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to thank the ICU staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah for the compassionate care with which you treated David. We are eternally grateful.

A private service will be held at a later date.
