David Stewart Cawley

David Stewart Cawley age 67 passed away at home on July 6 2024 with his family by his side to help send him home. He was born Feb 26,1957. Doctors didn’t give his mother any hope that he would walk or talk. She had him walking by age two. David was a true miracle and charted his own course per his doctors who searched for reason why he lived passed his teens. We know we were blessed to have him in our family. He was the entertainment at family gatherings. Bringing laughter and love to us and yes sometimes aggravation. He loved music and was always singing and dancing even in the check out lines. He loved food and had many favorites . He raided the refrigerator one too many times and his mother put a lock on it but sometimes forgot and would discover missing food the next day. He was a hugger and didn’t understand why people refused hugs during Covid.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty D. Cawley; his father John S. Cawley Sr,; and brothers, Pete and Jimmy Cawley.

Survivors include his brother, Bob Cawley (Mary); sisters, Cathy Mott and Rebecca Albertani (Roberto); many nephews and nieces who were his girlfriends, all of whom he loved to entertain and make laugh. We look forward to being with him again.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
