Darla Leigh Lane Crosby, of Garden City, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Westview Nursing Home. She was born in Sacramento, California.
She was married to her husband James Crosby, Jr. for 34 years, was a loving person and was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Darla taught school for 22 years in the Savannah Chatham Board of Education system, teaching at Johnson and Groves High Schools and at Mercer Middle School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Lane and Clara Nell Cowart and is survived by her husband James Crosby, Jr. of Garden City, Georgia; 2 sons, James Dewey Crosby, III of Garden City, Georgia and Jason Daniel Crosby (Jennifer) of Port Wentworth, Georgia; 1 step-daughter, Cecelia Maranda Blackmon of Birmingham, Alabama and 2 grandchildren, Khloe Blackmon and Jared Crosby.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday December 16, 2016 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home & Crematory, 2794 U.S. Hwy 80 West, Garden City, Georgia.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 17, 2016 from the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 41 Main Street, Garden City, Georgia.
