Daniel Ree Smith

Daniel "Dan" R. Smith Sr., 75, of Rincon, GA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday March 19, 2022.
Dan was born and raised in Florida. Found his wife of 54 years while stationed in Paris Island South Carolina. He raised his family in Port Wentworth Georgia and retired in Rincon, Georgia. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam war. He will be remembered as a loving husband father and grandfather. He attended the Rincon church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubbie and Mildred Smith; and sister, Martha Sue DuBois.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, L. Maxine Smith; sons, Daniel Smith Jr. and Chad Smith (Nancy); niece, Debbie Duque; nephews, Charlie DuBois, Fletcher DuBois, and John DuBois; grandchildren, Chase Smith, Ethan Smith, Garrett Smith, and Ryan Smith.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday March 24, 2022 at 11 am at Rincon Church of God with Rev. Les Woodard officiating.
