Clyde B. Mcfearin,

d. May 20, 2017

Clyde B. McFearin, Jr. (Mac or Mr. Mac as he was affectionately known) was born March 25, 1932 in Savannah Georgia to the late Clyde B. McFearin, Sr. and the late Evelyn McFearin. He was the oldest of three children. His brother and sister preceded him in death.

Mac accepted Christ at an early age and he supported his family in their Christian values.

Mac was educated in the public schools of Chatham County. In 1950, Mac enlisted in the United States Air Force where he worked as a fireman. He earned the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1970.

After his tenure in the military "Mac" was employed as a Mill Rite Union worker, as a carpenter, where he became a certified union carpenter. However, Mac was a "jack of all trades", hunter, fisherman, gardener, and he was always figuring how he could invent something to make things easier.

Mac was the most generous person you could ever meet, and would literally 'give you the shirt off his back'.
Mac was joined in Holy matrimony three times, from his first marriage he fathered a daughter Mary Ann McFearin. Mac married his second wife Julia McFearin in the early 1970's and lived in Ellabell, Bryan County, until her death in 2001.

On May 11, 2003, Mac married "the love of his life", the late Bessie Blackshear Young. They enjoyed their lives to the fullest for 13 years, five months until her demise October 2016.

Mac leaves to cherish his life two sons, Melvin (Carol) Taylor, Clinton, Maryland; Osoero Angelo Taylor, Savannah, Ga. Three daughters Deborah Claire Thompson, Latrell (Sherman) Northcutt, both of Savannah, Ga, and Tracey Taylor of Atlanta, Ga. One son in law, Rev. Dr. Jerome Baker, one daughter in law, Valerie Taylor of Palm Coast, Florida, one brother in law, Rev. Franklin (Ella) Blackshear, one sister in law, Edna Blackshear, of Daytona, Florida, and a host of nieces , nephews and friends.
