Clyde "Andy" Andrews, 90, of Savannah and widower of Dot Cutrell Andrews, died Monday, October 31st, 2016 in Savannah, Georgia. He was born on August 14, 1926 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of the late James M. and Mabel Andrews.
Andy served his country in the U.S Navy during World War II and participated in the liberation of Allied POWs in Nagasaki, Japan in September 1945.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Sisters Juanita, Beatrice and Leila; Brothers James, Clifford and Adrian; and daughter Melinda.
Survivors include his two sons Andy Andrews, Jr (JoJo) of Savannah, Georgia and Tommy Andrews of Charleston, South Carolina; sisters Teenie (Bob) of Oxford, Ohio and Nancy Andrews of Oxford, Ohio; brother Norman Andrews of Fairfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Tom, KC, Jesse, Allen, Drew, and Ashlyn and thirteen great-grandchildren: Luke, Scarlett, Jude, Chase, Kale, Tucker, Aris, Lila, Tayah, Tyler, Tyler, Ariauna and Davi Lea
Visitation will be at Carolina Memorial Gardens Saturday November 5 from 11am-12 noon with services at 12 noon and a small reception to follow. There will be no graveside service.
