Clarence Edward Brown, 88, of Rincon, GA passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 7,
2023, in Port Wentworth, GA.
Clarence was born to the late Marion Harrison Brown and Beulah Crow Brown in Jacksonville,
AL.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Technical Sgt
before retiring. He was also a member of the Alee Shrine.
Clarence was accomplished in many things, including teaching, and was dedicated to those he
taught. He was, above all, an honest man who was proud of his family, whom he loved with all
his heart.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Doreen Hancock
Brown and wife, Barbara Card Brown of 12 years; brothers, William Harrison (Billy) and Ira
Wallace (Wally) Brown; and a sister, Sarah Jenette (Sister).
Surviving are a son, Clarence Edward “Eddie” Brown, Jr. (Cindy); daughters, Linda Carter
Martin (Robbie), step-daughters, Allison Davis (Gaylon) and Kelley Hancock; sister, Marion
Baldwin; grandchildren, Cory Martin (Katie), Paige Robbins (Ben), Cody Brown (Taylor), Denton
Martin, Dillon Brown (Madison) and Kelsie Dudley (Matthew); nine great grandchildren and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 from 5-7pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home
Garden City Chapel. Funeral Service will be held Saturday February 11, 2022 at 10am in the
chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Travis Peacock officiating. Burial will immediately follow at
Hillcrest Abbey West on Dean Forest Road.
