Clara Dell Fischer Hadden, 89, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Bibb County, GA the daughter the Hulbert and Hortense Young Fischer. She moved to Savannah at the age of 3.
She was one of the first majorettes at Savannah High School and graduated in 1950.
Clara Dell was a member of Isle of Hope Baptist Church and worked in the Nursery for over 28 years. She was retired from the Isle of Hope Child Development Center and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, James Leonard Hadden, Jr.; son, Stephen H. Hadden, Sr.; grandson, Dalton M. Hadden and brother, Hulbert Fischer.
Survivors include her children, Sharon Lynn Spear (Larry), James "Jimmy" L. Hadden, III (Tina), Cheryl Hadden Kessler (Sonny), Nan Motes (Wally Payne), Mark J. Hadden; daughter-in-law, Pam Hadden; grandchildren, Christopher Godbee, Sunny Lea Copeland (SMSgt Jason), Heather Wilson (Larry), Krissy Kessler, Jaime Spear (Lori), Rebecca Spear, Cameron Taylor (Will), Brittany Gillis (Alex), Stephen H. Hadden, Jr.; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sister-in-law, Mary Lathem and her two daughters. The family would like to acknowledge and give a special Thank You to Nancy Turcotte.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Billy Miller officiating.
Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
