Christoper Michael Yawn, 42 of Pembroke died Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Chris was born in Savannah and is the son of Pamela Grizzard Yawn and Michael W. Yawn. He was raised in Pooler and attended Robert W. Groves High School.
Chris had a huge heart and loved helping others; he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, cooking out and spending time with his family. He was a truck driver and also loved working with his hands in the workshop and outdoors.
Survivors include his mother, Pamela Grizzard Yawn (James Driggers); father, Michael W. Yawn; sister, Ariana Wilcox; brother, Michael Scott Yawn (Carmella); nephews, Devin and Michael Wilcox and Michael Joseph Yawn; great niece, Emily Wilcox; great nephew, Kaidyn Wilcox; aunts, uncles, other family and friends.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made to The American Heart Association; www.heart.org .
