Christopher Pete Simon, Sr., 73, of Savannah, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 peacefully at his residence.
He was born in Savannah, GA and resided in the area all of his life. He served as a Senior Altar Boy at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church--continuing as a lifelong member of the parish. With a passion for the hospitality industry, he was a member of the Savannah Chamber of Commerce and the Tybee Chamber of Commerce.
He was the retired owner of Cap’n Chris’ Restaurant on Tybee Island.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Simon; his mother, Ruth Simon; a son, Christopher Pete Simon, Jr. (Jeanine) of Richmond Hill, GA; his sister, Paula Bullard (Ken) of Whitemarsh Island; and grandsons: Edward Larrea, II, Kaleb Musgrove, and Frank Musgrove.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Dannette "Peanut" Larrea; brothers James and Louis Simon; and father Anthony Simon.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, with Father John Wallace and Father John Caparisos officiating. Visitation starts at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 13, 2021 followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Greenwich Cemetery.
