Christopher Robert Covington, Sr. "Trip", 30, of Pooler, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Memorial Health University Medical Center from result of an automobile wreck.
Chris was born in Miami, Florida and was raised in Pooler. He was an Auto Mechanic having worked for Integrity Auto Care.
Chris loved his family, friends and his car. He enjoyed fixing cars and rebuilding motors and making them go FAST; a Dallas Cowboys fan he looked forward to family softball.
Chris's favorite phrase was "Live Life to the Fullest" which he did every day. He made friends any where he went, had a heart of Gold and would give the shirt off his back if needed.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Michael Doulin and uncle, Kevin Dayton.
Survivors include his wife, Ashley Haulse-Covington; son, Christopher, Robert Covington, Jr. "CJ", son to be born in July, Christian Rick Covington; father, Ricky Leon Covington (Susan); mother, Dolores Gonzalez (Sammy); siblings, Ricky L. Covington, Jr., David Covington, Frankie Cook (Mike), Tabitha Rojas (Freddie), Jeremy Covington (Cassidy Anderson), Laci Covington and Gage Covington; mother-in-law, Dorothy Hulse (Ken Wasden), brother-in-law, Michael Doulin, Jr.; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a whole couple hundreds of special friends.
A gathering to celebrate Chris's life will be held Thursday, April 28, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
