Christopher Harold Atkinson

Christopher Harold Atkinson, age 38, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 surrounded by the ones he loved the most.

Christopher was born in Savannah, Georgia, July 20, 1985 to his parents Kathleen Bailey and Harold Julius Atkinson. Christopher attended HV Jenkins High School before becoming a manager for Genesee & Wyoming railroad , Christopher also worked at Sight and sound audio and then later moved on to become a heavy equipment operator. He was a jack of all trades to say the least.

Christopher was the life of everyone's party. He was a true genuine friend that enjoyed a good laugh. Christopher always knew how to put a smile on your face. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs with his daughter as well as gun shooting with his boys and cherished the memories he made with his children. His children were his world. Christopher loved to be out on the water in his boat. It was his happy place. He was an outdoorsman who also loved his dogs very much.

Christopher was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners

Christopher is survived by his wife of nearly nine years, Wendy Wilson Atkinson; his children, Jacob,Carson,and Ashlynn , his parents, Kathleen Bailey, Harold Julius Atkinson; his brother, Andrew S. Atkinson; his nanny, Vermelle Bailey; his grandpa, Ralph Bailey and Kyndle Brown who was like a daughter to him along with his wives family and all his neighbors he grew up knowing that was like family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406.
