Christine Bragg Tuten

Christine "Chris" Bragg Tuten passed away peacefully on January 7, 2024. She was 86 years old.

Born on March 22, 1937 to the late Edward Kinsley Bragg and the late Mollie Schmidt Bragg Bassett. Chris grew up in Screven County and later moved to Savannah where she graduated from Commercial High School. She spent her career holding several positions throughout the Savannah Chatham County School Sytstem.

Chris was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, William Harold Tuten, Sr.; son, Joseph B. Tuten; and brother, Douglas K. Bragg. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Willie & Melanie Tuten, Eddie & Michelle Tuten, and Michael & Tracey Tuten; five grandchildren, Christina Tuten, Dayna Linton, Daron Tuten (Jordan), Brittany McNamara (Michael), and Ben Tuten (Laney); and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is greatly loved and will be missed by many.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Abbey East (1600 Wheaton St. Savannah, GA 31404).
