Chelsea Marlana Utley, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home in Savannah, Georgia, at the age of 34.

Born on October 30, 1990, she was raised in Savannah, where she entered her 1st beauty pageant at the age 3 and was crowned 1st runner-up as Little Miss Savannah in the Miss Savannah Beauty Pageant. She attended Chatham County Schools, graduating from Windsor Forest High School, where she was a four year member of the JROTC, winning several medals in local, regional & state competitions in individual and team events, and was a member of the LEO Club. Chelsea played on the school softball team at Southwest Middle School & Windsor Forest High School.

Chelsea was baptized at Port Wentworth Alliance Church, where she attended for many years. She was a member of the church's youth choir, quiz team and attended POWERTIME youth summer camp.

Chelsea was a spirited individual with a passion for life and a heart and spirit full of kindness and compassion. Chelsea's caring and nurturing personality led her to hold a certification as a CNA, which allowed her to care for the elderly in her life and community. She bonded with all of the people that she cared for. Her vibrant personality and warm smile brought joy to all those who knew her.

Her generous nature led her to serve her community in various volunteer capacities including PALS, the Lions Club and Hospice Savannah. Chelsea loved volunteering for the Hospice Grief Camp Aloha each May and did so for several years. She also served as the Vice President of the Savannah Ogeechee Canal Society and worked at the Savannah Ogeechee Canal Museum and Nature Center. Her deep affection for her country also led her to participate in all manner of Veteran's events and parades in her community.

Chelsea was an avid music lover and was a huge fan of Alan Jackson, whom she met and appeared on the cover of Country Weekly Magazine with as the 100,000 member of his fan club.

Chelsea was an animal lover who deeply loved all animals. She took great care of any animal that she found injured and would nurse them back to health to the best of her ability. She loved being out in nature and loved to read.

Chelsea is survived by her loving mother, Janet Utley, and her devoted brother, Cameron Utley, and cherished significant other, Ross Hudson, all of Savannah. She is also survived by aunts and uncles; Stella Nelson of Pooler, Rita and Martin Weaver of England, Jeanette King of Christmas, FL and Mike and Linda Powell of Ellabell; great aunt and uncle, Johnny and Faye Cobb of Bloomingdale; her fur babies, Bubba Bear, Moon Dog and Luna; and a number of cousins and dear friends. Her family and friends were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her father, Donald L. Utley and cousin, Valerie Storey, two people whom she held close in her heart throughout her life. Chelsea is also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Marie (Clinton) Hood, James (Ida) Wiggins and her paternal grandparents Lewis (Maria) Utley & Ethel Utley.

The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects and celebrate Chelsea's life. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 1pm until the time of the service. A memorial service will follow at 2pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Bro. Ken Nichol officiating.

Chelsea's light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her.

May her soul rest in peace and her memory forever be a blessing.
