Charlotte Kennedy Smith

Charlotte Kennedy Smith, age 86, of Savannah, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 26th, 2024.

She was born in North Carolina on October 7th, 1937 to the parents of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Arthur and Mildred Jones Harris.

Charlotte was a social butterfly. She loved to talk and never met a stranger. She had a warm and welcoming personality that made everyone feel at ease. Charlotte found a very fitting job for her personality and worked as a greeter at Sam's Club for 35 years before retiring at age 82. Charlotte enjoyed spending her free time with her family. Especially her grandkids who held a very special place in her heart.

She was a member of Bonnybridge Baptist Church. Charlotte was also a dual member of Laurel Chapter No. 51, where she was an officer for many years; and White Star Chapter No. 367, where she served as Past Matron. Charlotte was also a member of Georgia Court No. 1, Order of the Amaranth where she was Past Royal Matron.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Debbie Reynolds; many grandkids; many great grandkids; many nieces and nephews; and her brother, Arthur Harris (Debbie).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Allen Kennedy Sr.; her husband, John C. Smith; her sons, Gary Kennedy, Robert Kennedy Jr.; and her sister, Rebecca Fink.

Family will be receiving friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406. An Order of Eastern Star and Amaranth funeral service will be held.
