Charlotte Ann Deery Whitenton, 65, died peacefully at home Monday, July 9, 2018.
She was born November 6, 1952 in Greenwood, Mississippi but lived most of her life in Savannah, Georgia.
She was a member of the Worldwide Church of Tomorrow Church of God. She was a wife and homemaker. Her greatest contribution to the world came in the care and love she had for her family and friends. She never met a stranger. Charlotte was vibrant and determined, never knowing the word quit. She was tenacious till the very end. Her loss will be felt forever.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Deery; sister, Melinda Shute, and granddaughter, Emily Braddock.
Charlotte is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Bobby Ray Whitenton, Sr.; daughters, Laurie Wetmore (Lee) of Guyton, Carrie Gonzalez (Bryan) of Richmond Hill, Danielle Vish (Jay) of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Bobby Ray Whitenton Jr of Savannah.; granddaughters, Katlyn Wetmore, Kaicyn Rebekah Wetmore, and Lily Braddock; grandsons, Dominic Gonzalez, Herschel Braddock, Rylan Wetmore and LJ Vish; mother, Dorothy Ann Mullen Shute of North Carrollton, MS; sister, Marie Iverson (Rick) of Springfield, OR; brothers, Larry Shute and Tom Shute of North Carrollton, MS; several nieces and nephews.
The family will gather from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
