Charles Gibson Willard

Charles Gibson Willard, age 63, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at home.
Mr. Willard was born on October 25, 1956, the son of Charles and Montine Willard. He was a 1974 graduate of Savannah High School. He worked for many years as a carpenter, working with T D Reese Construction Co. and ultimately owning his own business, CW Construction Co. He was a former member of Bible Baptist Church and was active with the Carpenters Union in Savannah. He enjoyed being on the water fishing and participating in bass fishing tournaments.
Mr. Willard was preceded in death by his son, Brian Willard. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Teresa Willard; sons, John Jacob Willard and Daniel Willard (Cassady); siblings, Brenda McLean (Jim), Glen Willard (Liane), and Angie Colquitt (Rusty); sisters-in-law, Tina Nelsen (John) and Tammy Leeder; brothers-in-law, Ricky Leeder, Rett Leeder, and Myron Lavely (Jenny); nieces, Claire Weil, Sarah Whitaker, and Haley Whitaker; nephew, Jackson Whitaker; best friends, Myron Lavely, Mark Shaw, and Brooks Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mr. Willard will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, August 21, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to 608 E. Montgomery Crossroad, Savannah, GA 31406.
