Charles Donald Bramblett

d. September 3, 2017

Charles Donald "Don" Bramblett, 64, of Pooler, GA.  He was born September 23,1952 in Vidalia, GA, to the late William Henry Bramblett Jr. and Mrs. Rhea Montez Bramblett (currently and amazingly 97 years old).  Don was a graduate of Vidalia High School, the University of Georgia and Savannah State University.

He began his professional career at Carey Hilliard's Restaurant in 1993, that would be a great 23-year career as accountant and comptroller, as part of the executive office team.  His friend and co-worker Jan, affectionately referred to him sometimes as "Bam-Bam."

Don worked side-by-side with the president of the company, Mr. Hilliard, in day-to-day activities, including accounting, board meetings, and also served as the accountant for related business entities.  Work was his life, and he was proud of it.  His dedication to Carey Hilliard's was so tremendous that even while being wheeled into the hospital he rattled off computer passcodes and information that he knew would make life after his passing easier for others.

During Don's free-time, he was a successful investor and money manager in the stock market.  So much so, that his co-workers and Mr. Hilliard would ask him daily, "How's the market today, Don?"  He loved playing shoot-em up games including Doom, Call of Duty, and Mine-Sweeper.  He also loved building computers.  At Carey Hilliard's Office, he was sure to keep all systems updated with current virus software, and the file server updated!

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Bramblett, who died in a tragic water-skiing accident at a young age, and his father, William Henry Bramblett Jr.  He is survived by his daughter, Brooke Lindsey Bramblett, his mother, Rhea Montez Bramblett and his granddaughter, Braylee Rhea Hutchinson.  Brooke remembers him as a loving dad and grandfather to Braylee.  As Braylee often sat in his lap, while they played video games and watched sci-fi movies together.
