Charlene Ruth Anchors Purvis, 58, of Nevils, GA, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 at her residence.
She was born in Savannah, GA, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple. Charlene was a Medical Receptionist.
Charlene was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Harrison Anchors.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Lester Purvis, of Nevils, GA; sons, Blake Allen, Statesboro, GA and Billy Purvis, Odum, GA; daughters, Mary Powell, Statesboro, GA and Rebecca Griggs, Quincy, IL; her father, Oliver Thomas “Tom” Anchors, Jr., Savannah, GA; 2 brothers, Steven Anchors, Savannah, GA; and Kenneth Anchors, of West Palm Beach, FL; and 8 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Temple, 4625 Waters Avenue, Savannah, GA 31404.
Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
