Catherine Dotson Stewart

Catherine Dotson Stewart, age 67, of Savannah, GA passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 at home.

Cathy was born in Savannah, GA on February 13, 1956, the daughter of the late Horace Samson Dotson and Angela Anestos Dotson. After attending Armstrong State College she began her career as a Merchandising Analyst with Rich’s Department Store and ultimately retired after years of service with Macy’s. She had a keen eye for decorating and was an ardent pet parent. The beach was her happy place.

Cathy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 27 years, Wade P. Stewart. She is survived by her sisters, Paula D. Hough (Joe) and Vanessa D. Jones (Mike); nieces and nephews, Ashley & Stephen Lovett, Drew & Meagan Jones, and Austin Jones; as well as 4 great nieces and nephews, and her partner, Joey Mayfield.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. followed by a Trisagion Service at 6:30 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2023 at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023 at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church with Father John Caparisos, officiating. Burial will follow the service at Greenwich Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church or to the Humane Society for Greater Savannah.
