Caryn Denise Carter Reeves, 64, of Savannah, GA, passed away May 6, 2021 at Hospice Savannah.
She was born March 27, 1957 in Savannah, GA to the late Carol and Juanita Brewton Carter.
Mrs. Reeves served as a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years, alongside her husband, and aa a dispatcher for Southside Fire Department, until her retirement. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies and attended every sporting event they participated in.
She was an independent woman with a feisty personality. She was a lover of animals. Camping with her husband was one of her favorite past times. The two often went camping for weeks at a time.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reeves is preceded in death by her husband, James Thurman Reeves.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Christina Freeman (Jerry) and Carol Louise Doepp (Corey); son, Edward Duane Reeves (Jessica); six grandchildren, Halie, Jason, Christopher, Joseph, Emilee, Makayla; and her adopted granddaughter, Cheyenne Dyal.
A memorial service will be held Saturday May 15, 2021, 1PM at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hubert C. Baker Chapel with Mr. Tom Blackston officiating.
