Carrie Davis was born on August 9th, 1930 to Annie Bell Robinson and Frank Cody. God called her home to eternal rest on Saturday July 14th at her residence, surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Davis was a member of FirstNewLightBaptistChurch and the Order of the Eastern Star, Esther Lodge #15.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her children, Young Cody and his wife Alicia of New London, Connecticut; Annie Frank Bishop of Indianapolis, Indiana; Beverly Dyson of Leonardtown, Maryland; Gloria Dean Jones and her husband Willie of Savannah; Catherine Cross of Detroit, Michigan; Maxine Johnson of El Paso, Texas; Dorothy Bennett Hill and her husband Simon of Savannah; and Cantrana Rebecca Singleton and her husband Theron Keith Singleton of Savannah; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, July 20th from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at Bonaventure Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Saturday, July 21st at 11:00 AM, St. Philip AME Church. Entombment: Hillcrest Abbey East.
