Carolyn King West

December 26, 1937 — February 6, 2021

Carolyn King West, 83, passed away February 6, 2021.  Carolyn was born on December 26, 1937 in Savannah to John Frank King and Elise Duggar King.   After graduating from Commercial High School she worked at Dearing Chevrolet.  Carolyn married Tommy West in 1959. Tommy and Carolyn enjoyed 61 years of marriage and raising a family in Savannah. Carolyn loved children and worked in the church nursery and at Vacation Bible School for many years. She also loved to cook and bake for friends and family. After retirement Carolyn and Tommy enjoyed time with grandchildren, card games and traveling with friends, and church activities.  Carolyn was a faithful, active member of Cresthill Baptist Church for over 50 years and most recently a member of Southside Baptist Church.  She is survived by her daughter Deborah Price and son-in-law Randy of Cody, WY; son Tommy (Bubba) West and daughter-in-law Tina of Savannah; grandchildren Sarah (Matt) Phillips of Statesboro, Katelyn West of Athens, GA, and Brittany Price of Cody, WY; great-grandchildren Jude Phillips and Elizabeth Phillips.  She is also survived by her sister Maree Milliner of Franklin, NC and sister in law Jo Ann West of Springfield GA and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by husband Tommy West, and grandchildren Katherine Price and Andrew Price.


A private graveside service was held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Bonaventure Cemetery under the direction of Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
