Carolyn Carroll, 92, passed away on September 28, 2023, in Savannah, Georgia. She was born Margaret Carolyn Brown on June 20, 1931, in Atlanta, Georgia. Carolyn, as she preferred to be called, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Carolyn graduated from Brown High School in Fulton County in 1949. She was primarily a homemaker and also worked as the church secretary for Windsor Forest Baptist Church for a number of years. Carolyn was an active member of the Windsor Forest Baptist Church for over 50 years.
In addition to taking care of her family and serving in various roles at her church, Carolyn loved to sew and cook. She found joy in creating beautiful garments and sharing delicious meals with her loved ones.
Carolyn is survived by her children: son and daughter-in-law Mike and Linda Carroll of Ellabell, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law Doug and Rebecca Carroll of Brooklet, Ga.; daughter Cheryl Carroll of Lincoln, Montana; daughter and son-in-law Terry and Gerry Lord of Dallas, Ga.; and daughter Angie Carroll of Savannah, Ga. She is also survived by grandchildren Joey Roberson, Angela Taylor, Brian Davis, Brent Davis, Stephen Carroll, Duncan Lord, and Holly Sherrell, as well as two great-grandchildren, Chase Amberson and Kristen Davis.
Carolyn was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Steve O. Carroll, her father Arthur Brown, and mother Wilma Liane Price.
A memorial service to celebrate Carolyn's life will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Memorial Chapel at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, located at 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia. After the service, a private graveside service for family members will be held at the Bulloch Memorial Gardens cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carolyn's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
