Carolyn Floyd Bolton

June 12, 1954 — February 21, 2025

Savannah

Carolyn Floyd Bolton, age 70, of Savannah passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025.

Carolyn was the beloved wife of Gary Bolton, Devoted mother of Shelley Burgess (Dennis) and Ben (Paula); Loving daughter of the late Ronald Leon Floyd (Toni) and surviving Ruby Sikes Cubbedge; Dear sister of Rhonda Dehbozorgi (Kori); cherished grandmother of William Burgess, George and Theodore Bolton; Half-sister of Wendy Neill (David), Kelly Floyd (Garrett), Ricky Dudley (Angel); Dear aunt to Becky and Matthew and her many nieces and nephews who brought her much love and joy.

Carolyn was born on June 12, 1954, in Lyons, Georgia. She grew up with a fierce determination and a heart full of love. After high school, she pursued a degree in Business Management from Armstrong State University, later becoming a manager at Ronnie's Restaurant.

In 1991, Carolyn married the love of her life, Gary, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion for over 33 years. Her greatest pride, however, were her children, Shelley and Ben, who she loved unconditionally.

Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis over 20 years ago, Carolyn faced each challenge with an unwavering spirit. Despite her hardships, she faced every day with positivity, strength, and resilience, finding ways to stay connected with her loved ones no matter what.

Carolyn loved bird watching and often enjoyed the peaceful sight of them directly outside her bedroom window. Gary lovingly created a beautiful garden, complete with fountains, feeders, and a special hummingbird area, where Carolyn could watch them visit and say hello at any time.

If you knew Carolyn, you knew how much she loved music. She listened to and sang along with classics from artists like Carole King, James Taylor, Carly Simon, and the Eagles. Despite the challenges of MS, she never missed an opportunity to see her favorite musicians live in concert over the years.

A passionate fan of Atlanta sports, Carolyn faithfully cheered for the Braves, Falcons, and Georgia Bulldogs. She also enjoyed keeping up with current events on Fox News, binging new Netflix shows, and listening to audiobooks every day.

Her friends and family will forever remember Carolyn for her radiant smile, expressive face, and warm, caring heart. She was known for her strong will, her loving nature, and her ability to bring joy to everyone around her. Her spirit will live on in the memories of all who were lucky enough to know her.
